Open the BGE outage map to see whether the outage is just your home or your whole area, the number of customers affected, and — when BGE has one — an estimated restoration time.

Report your outage
If your home is out, report it even if the map already shows the area down — it helps BGE pinpoint the fault. You can report through the BGE website, the BGE mobile app, by text, or by phone (the number is on your bill and at bge.com).

Stay safe while you wait
Keep the fridge and freezer closed, stay clear of any downed lines, and never run a gas generator indoors or in a garage. Have a plan for anyone who relies on medical equipment or, in a heat wave, on air conditioning.
Where is the BGE outage map?
BGE's live outage map is at outagemap.bge.com. It shows current outages across BGE's central-Maryland service area — Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Harford, and Carroll counties — including how many customers are affected and, where available, estimated restoration times. For a second view, poweroutage.us also tracks Maryland utilities in real time.
How do I report a power outage to BGE?
Report through the BGE website (bge.com), the BGE app, by text, or by phone using the number on your bill or at bge.com. Report your outage even if the map already shows your area down — individual reports help BGE locate the fault and speed restoration. If you see a downed wire, stay well away from it and treat it as live.
Why doesn't the BGE map show a restoration time?
In the first hours of a big storm, BGE often can't post an estimate until crews have assessed the damage — so the map may show your outage with no restoration time at all.
